How to Read a Gold (XAUUSD) Trading Signal: Entry, Stop Loss and Take Profit
Most gold signals on Telegram look the same: a direction, a price zone and a list of numbers. If you know what each part means, you can judge a call in seconds instead of copying it blindly.
1. Direction: BUY or SELL
BUY means the trader expects the gold price (XAUUSD) to rise. SELL means they expect it to fall. Some channels write "long" or "short" – same thing.
2. Entry or entry zone
The price where you open the trade. A market call ("buy now") is taken at the current price. A limit call ("buy at 4040–4045") waits for the price to come to that zone first. If the price never reaches the zone, the call simply never starts – it is not a loss.
3. Stop loss (SL)
The price where the trade is closed if it goes wrong. For a BUY the stop sits below the entry; for a SELL it sits above. A call without a stop loss is a red flag: there is no way to measure the risk.
4. Take profits (TP1, TP2, TP3…)
The targets where profit is taken. TP1 is the closest and most likely to be hit; later targets are further away. Many traders close part of the position at TP1 and move the stop to the entry price ("break-even").
5. Reward-to-risk
Compare the distance to TP1 with the distance to the stop. Entry 4050, SL 4040 (risk $10) and TP1 4065 (reward $15) gives 1.5 : 1. Calls where the stop is much further away than TP1 need a very high win rate to make money.
Quick checklist
- Is there a clear stop loss?
- Is TP1 at least as far as the stop?
- Is the price still near the entry, or has the move already happened?
- Does the channel have a real, checked track record?
LDRSIGNAL answers the last question for you: every call from thousands of channels is followed against the live gold price, so you can see who really hits TP1 and who gets stopped out.
